This replacement club house seeks to increase and modernise the accommodation to allow for a better experience for players and spectators. The whole area is next to the river and subject to occasional flooding, that is set to increase with climate change. To address this the building is designed to rise above the water level and areas that are more resistant to flooding are located at semi-basement level. This creates an elevated vantage point for match days, with areas of meeting, club memorabilia and upgraded sporting facilities. The top floor is used as a large multi use event space that benefits from amazing views over the cricket pitch towards the centre of Bath.
